  1. Ok, Has anyone tried these rpms that are now available at the various cooker mirrors? I notice they are dated Feb 24 and bug fixes were done up through this date.... Thanks, Chris
  2. Ok, I can mount and unmount my usb devices with these commands: mount -t vfat /dev/sda1 /mnt/camera umount -t vfat /dev/sda1 /mnt/camera and now I have a couple of questions.... 1) What would the fstab entry be?? I take it noauto needs to be in there so the device is not mounted if it is not attached...correct?? 2) How do I safely detach the device w/o losing data?? 3) Anyway to get an icon in KDE to pop up on the desktop once it is attached?? I'm running kernel 2.6.3 and mandrake 9.2 Thanks, Chris
  3. The only thing thereis the source file I already have running...then my NVIDIA issues are more of a pain than I thought.
  4. Where can I find the source for my running kernel 2.6.3.1?? I posted about a NVIDIA driver, but I think I might have a mismatch between the source and the kernel...thanks in advance...Chris
  5. OK, I have updated my Kernel to 2.6.3 and I have installed kernel-source.2-3mdk and I believe that these match. The kernel source files for 2.4 do not seem to be present in rpmdrake, but the 2.4 kernel is (should I remove it, 2.6 works fine?)....here is the nvidia installer log file: nvidia-installer log file '/var/log/nvidia-installer.log' creation time: Sat Feb 21 01:25:54 2004 option status: license pre-accepted : false update : false force update : false expert : false uninstall : false driver info : false no precompiled interface: false no ncurses color : false query latest driver ver : false OpenGL header files : false no questions : false silent : false XFree86 install prefix : /usr/X11R6 OpenGL install prefix : /usr Installer install prefix: /usr kernel source path : (not specified) kernel install path : (not specified) proc mount point : /proc ui : (not specified) tmpdir : /root/tmp ftp site : ftp://download.nvidia.com Using: nvidia-installer ncurses user interface -> License accepted. -> There appears to already be a driver installed on your system (version: 1.0- 5328).
