Hi Ian ! i have been thru all your suggestions before i made post because they seem obvious . Unfortunatelly i deleted it and i can not recreate it now to give you more info . Maybe it was one of those first run self setup things that is fully automated and now it will not repeat . If it comes back i will post again with more info .

Every time i use scanner i get scanner icon on the desktop . What can i do to stop it from returning ?

Thanks a lot guys ! I got it now i know how to add all the radio stations to my rhytmbox !

So far mandriva didnt let me down and all is working just dandy ! But i have little problem that could be just with local radio station !

Can someone tell me how to play stream from here : http://www.cbc.ca/manitoba/ . There are links for streaming radio . I thing i have just about every codec i could think about and FF media connectivity installed .Any suggestion is appreciated .
