  2. well i tried running that driver install and it said that it could not find LD and i should make sure it's in my path....i didn't see it in any directories
  3. yeah it was wusb. version 2.6 ..but it all of a sudden started working and i could access the internet...but after one reboot it failed working again..
  4. hahaha i'm learnin faster than i thought. linux automatically mounts my windows hard drives so I can use them!! YAY!! now i just gotta find a driver for my network adapter and i'm all set.
  5. i can't access internet through linux. I'm trying to get a driver for my video card in linux, but i haven't learned how to download a file in windows and use it in linux....anyone help?
  6. When trying to install the network, it doessn't show any support for linksys adapters at all...
  7. ok ok i'm a huge IDIOT!!! i forgot to disable my onboard video card. i'm using an nvidia g4ce 4 and it was mirroring the desktop onto that so i was just getting blank desktop space. i plugged my monitor into the onboard card and switched mandrake to use my G4ce as the only card. Is there any way to disable my other video card totally? also...my video seems to be running very slow when i play the tron-like game...do i need to configure it seperately??? thanks to those who responded to my first question
  8. i just installed mandrake 9.2 on my second hard drive. installation went ok. bootloader works fine. when linux is booting up everything says ok ok ok...but then it turns to a blue screen like it's loading a GUI and the system hangs. once in a while I hear the hard drive chirp, but nothing...HELP!!!
