  1. Oeps!! You have to go to www.pclinuxonline.com there you find PCLinuxOS (also at distrowatch) PCLinux - Netherlands
  2. At PCLinux I found the latest PCLinuxOS version (6) for download. I had a quick download from a Dutch ftp site, burned the CD and started it. It looked perfect so I installed it within 30 minutes. The system is smooth and plesent. It uses APT/Synaptic for updates. Give it a try and let people know. PCLinux - Netherlands
  3. The Latest cooker KDE3.2 are working perfect under 9.2 You have to solve a few dependecies./.... 4. The presario 7xx notebook series is known for its terible acpi solution. It is not normal and on the black list. I'm looking for on other presario user with the same problems to communicate. Currently I use the latest 2.4.25-r4 custom kernel with acpi on compiled in it. PCLinux - Netherlands
  5. I like to ask the mandrakeusers.org users if they know a solution for the not normally working ACPI on this note book. result: [ruud@RuudLinux ruud]$ dmesg Linux version 2.4.22-26mdkcustom (root@RuudLinux) (gcc version 3.3.1 (Mandrake Linux 9.2 3.3.1-2mdk)) #3 Wed Feb 18 20:35:38 CET 2004 BIOS-provided physical RAM map: BIOS-e820: 0000000000000000 - 000000000009e800 (usable) BIOS-e820: 000000000009e800 - 00000000000a0000 (reserved) BIOS-e820: 00000000000c0000 - 00000000000cc000 (reserved) BIOS-e820: 00000000000dc000 - 0000000000100000 (reserved) BIOS-e820: 0000000000100000 - 000000000eef0000 (usable) BIOS-e820: 000000000eef0000 - 000000000eeff000 (ACPI data) BIOS-e820: 000000000eeff000 - 000000000ef00000 (ACPI NVS) BIOS-e820: 000000000ef00000 - 000000000f000000 (usable) BIOS-e820: 00000000fff80000 - 0000000100000000 (reserved) 240MB LOWMEM available.
