I just went and grabbed a regular analog mouse from the lab and plugged that into the kvm. now i have functionality back. I'm just gonna stay with this and put the wireless setup on my servers kvm. that'll be better anyways.

still having the prolem. its pissing me off now, since its in every program now that I have the problem.

that will leave the rpms in /var/cache/urpmi/rpms after you install them.

I am certainly not criticising anyone for supporting mandrake, or becoming a member of the club. But I am concerned about a certain misconception with how to help mandrake. Giving money to the club, buying stock, donating, are all nice things to do. But it does not compare to establishing a retail flow. We, us users, need to convince mandrake to stop asking for money from sympathy, and start acting like a world class business and establish retail. I believe that their survival depends on it.

You have an excellent point. I'm sure if they could push there powerpacks into a few retail stores, there would be far fewer financial problems.

I think that the shares are suspended. If you look at MDKFF on NASDAQ, you can see that the value has stayed at 2.75 for the past 4 months. odd you say? I think they are indeed still suspended. shareholders --> whats the deal here?

payed 60 bucks to mandrake and joined the mandrake club. I have been meaning to do so, since I have downloaded a bunch of ISO's and decided to help pay the electricity bill over there.

its simply that linux is not as much of a blatant target for malicious hackers. Thats my take anyways.

its an optical/wireless. and even better, attached to a KVM. I'll spare you what happens when I switch from BeOS/Windows/OSX to linux.

anyways. I went to mcc and changed to a standard 3 button mouse, and it seems ok for now, but I always lose it at random.

i did however point the plugin to /mnt/cdrom

all you have to do is click >add< , select "dir" and point it to /mnt/cdrom.

at least thats all I had to do.

I have no idea how to explain this properly, but my mouse keeps losing its "scroll up" functionality on the wheel. scroll down works perfectly.

after that, open up aumix and make sure that the cd volume is turned up. default is off. I just followed you're instructions and did this, and now it works.

going to a lug meeting in this area decreases you're chances of ever getting laid again by 22%. I just stick around here.

If you have a spare or second h/d install mdk and use cooker, play around, and report bugs.

If you don't, stay away !! you will get your fingers burnt and ruin your OS

I use superkaramba. love it. it may just be eyecandy, but some of the news apps, and calender programs are really useful. plus having an OSX bar in fluxbox is just the sh!t.
