I don't know anything about konqueror, but it sounds like it might be missing a dependency that is required for both. I would try in a terminal to do this This is what it looks like for my computer [kilimanjaro@bob kilimanjaro]$ su Password: [root@bob kilimanjaro]# urpmi konqueror You might want to wait for an answer from someone with a little more experience. I just saw that no one had answered you so I figured I would atleast let you know somebody had seen you thread. kilimanjaro

I am planning on installing 9.2 and I was wondering if there was some way to keep all of my bookmarks in galeon?
-
Actually Ken OpenOffice 1.1 if you go to insert and then to the heading special characters it has all of the symbols for writing spanish, I have both 1.0 and 1.1 and 1.0 doesn't have the same symbols. it has about 1/4 of the characters that 1.1 has. áâãäåæçèéêëìíîïðà it has these and much more. kilimanjaro

Hi Kenny Hows married life treating you? Maybe you could upgrade to OpenOffice 1.1 and try downloading all the extra libraries, c'mon, I mean even I'm using 1.1. Join the 21st. century OpenOffice1.0 is so1900's.. Everybody is doing it, c'mon the first one is free, all of the cool kids are doing it. I fact maybe you should upgrade to mandrake 9.2 ( I won't tell everybody that you are still using 9.0) kilimanjaro p.s. did you get the cd with the wedding pictures from Zac?

Are the cds that you order the same as what you can download? I seem to remember a post where some thought that they didn't get all of the dependencies with the powerpack edition.
-
I installed it, and now I can't find it, and rpmdrake doesn't show it any more, it is lost in the black hole of my operating system.

I have an Aopen ax4bs I don't know if it has sensors or not. Hopefully in the next couple of moths I will upgrade motherboard and ddr.

Is there some way to monitor my cpu temp? I have no idea how hot mine is running, but I do have three fans, one on the cpu and 2 for the box.

I burnt 10 cd earlier today, and now xcdroast freezes everytime I try to use it. It worked great before and now when ever I try to create a cd it just stops doing anything. I am prettty sure I am doing everyhting the same. Any Ideas?
-
Hello scoopy I just got x-cd-roast to work. Boy, is it amazing how well things work if... YOU ACTUALLY READ THE DIRECTIONS!!!! Maybe I should do that more often. My next task is to either find some place with high speed internet to down load or order the cds. I haven't checked, does anybody know how much they are?

Thank you VeeDubb That is a very kind offer, but I have about 6-7 gigs over 3 is ogg or mp3, about1.5 is jpgs, about 1.5 is video and the rest is/are text files. And I would really love to be able to burn cds again, I haven't been able to since I installed mandrake.

Ok I'm gonna do it! I am going to do a fresh install. I'm not sure if I will do 9.1 or 9.2 I would appreciate any advice on that subject. The problem is that I need to back up a couple of gBs of data and I can't get my cd rw to work. I have Eroaster, gcombust, Gnome-Toaster, and x-cd-roast. I have only had any of them work once, I think it was Eroaster. I am going to do a search, but if anyone has any advice, lay it on me. I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has helped me and put up with my whinning. kilimanjaro

It gave me an error message, but I din't remember what it was, but it has stopped giving me an error message noe it just asks which application I would like to use to run the rpm. If I can remember the error message was something like Knedit.... but like I said I can't really remember.

Guess what? I have another problem...I know big surprise. gurpmi no longer will work, and If I try urpmi in a terminal it won't work on local files. Once again I am clueless as to how this even works let alone how to fix it. Mandrake really lets me know how ignorant I am (sorry I am so sarcastic) .

how does wget differ from curl?
-
Actually I got contribs working, and I did do urpmi update -a. The problem now is that I am getting the same problem from my main site.
-
Don't Trust 9.2 to update your smoothly running 9.1 system!!

I have a f*cked up running 9.1 maybe it will update it fine -
I cannot update anything now I get <unable to access hdlist file of "main", medium ignored> I can't get it to un-ignore it either. I have tried with the gui and in a terminal (add.media) It has also ignored cd 1 and contribs so I can't install anything because I can't get the dependencies.

The thing is that I played all of these dvds on it thursday and friday. Then I wanted to copy them and someone suggested mencoder and that is where all of my problems started.
-
I havung a problem with mplayer. When I try to play a dvd it freezes for a minute and the says that there are too many video packets in the buffer. I had to reinstall it. I tried installing mencoder and had problems. it worked fine before and now it doesn't work for dvd, mpeg seems fine. This is why I am afraid to install 9.2. When I xkill mplayer after it has frozen it only stops the gui. I have to use system monitor to actually shut it down and when I do it says mplayer interupted by signal 15 in module: demux_open whatever this means.
