According to The Register, the University of Southampton has launched a open-source semantic web interface to make searching for information online, and learning about a subject, much easier.
There is a demo of the classical music mSpace to try if you have a Mozilla-based browser (for standard javascript compatibility) and the Quicktime plugin - Internet Explorer may have problems. :)

Patochan - you may get more replies to your non-Japanese questions if you start seperate threads in Networking (networking problem), Hardware (printer), and Software (logout). I can then move any straightforward replies there for you.
I'm afraid I can't copy parts of a single post and start threads in your name. :)

Welcome to the board. :)
The latest documentation available online is for 10.0, and can be found here. A lot of it will still be valid for 10.1.
To publish a more up-to-date manual at this stage, would discourage people from buying a retail package.

Thanks, anon - I missed that one. :)

NoSoftwarePatents.com reports on Microsoft threats.

I agree that the tone of the article is slightly unfortunate, Darkelve. I think the point is that 'ordinary' folks aren't using Linux on the desktop, and large companies should take opportunities like this to do something about it.
Can't help with your boring social life, though - I have the same problem.

The Register thinks it's time more companies got involved...

As Gowator's last post exceeded the limit on quote tags, I have changed some of them to comments to try and make the post readable.

I don't use Evolution for real, but this seems to work - go to Tools - Settings - Mail Accounts, and select the account name.
Click the Edit button and at the bottom of the Account Editor, you'll see Default Signature. Select the name of the signature you wish to use. If the options are None and Autogenerated, you need to set up a signature using the Add New Signature button to the right. When you've done that, you can select it as the default. The signature is then added to each new message - works for me. :)

Would you like to post the solution before you forget it? :)

Mike - I've moved this thread to Hardware; deleted your duplicate post in Tips & Tricks; and changed your link above.

It's my mission to educate the great unwashed.
When did that kick in?
Has all my work in the mods' forum been wasted?

The solution is not open source and costs $19.95, but this review of SNAP video drivers at The Inquirer may be of interest.
