The syntax is correct! Remember, i told that it worked before LM9.1.... It seems that the php-mysql-module isn't inbound, but how to do? I read in "php.ini" that it just has to be situated in the /etc/php directory, like the rpm did it. But that's not working. In "phpinfo()" i can see some undefined things concerning mysql, so i believe, that this step isn't in order...

I yesterday tried it via the OO-installer, but after it, every user has to make a "worstation installation" in his home directory, wht is unpretty, it should be like under LM, so that no new user has to do or install something, just to click the button. That's why i want it via RPM, to be safe, it is handled like normal..

I am asking, because it is a productive terminal-solution with running OOffice and i need to update OOffice while system is online. So it MUST work from begin, no time for errors...

Well, shell-connect is no problem, the connect via other tools either. In that line is only the connect-command, with hardcoded Database variables, as it was as it worked before... I think, that php does not recognize the mysql-module, but how to proove? The module ist htere, inbound in the /etc/php-directory, so no obvious hint for the failure...

MySqlCC can access it via the same parameters? Next step? :D

Sound needs to be done with a sound-server configured for networking like nas, arts or esd. They are all able to transfer soundoutput, but none of them has a good documentation. nas is preferred by most terminal-solutions, don't know why...

Don't know why, but in my network UDP does not work?! TCP is going well, firewall has no impact, turned it temporary off. I found it out with "nmap -sU". It always increases the timeout with no end.... A "ping -f -s 60000" was successfull, so TCP is no problem, downloads work well, so.

I just want to logg into my GDM on my server via IPSEC, because it is mentioned to be the fastest way for GUI-Login... As i read a LOT of articles about it i realized, that it is a hard stuff to find in. So i am asking for a "short tutorial" just for my needs. Ok, i got an answer from "blitzed" and they turned the IP "dynamic" what will prevent (I'll hope so) this happening again. But for trying out, i "nmap"ed my server and found out following: Do i have to? In xinetd? But it is NOT mentioned in xinetd.... This question is because i am not sure about what the "auth" server is for and which daemon it is....

Well, but this is perhaps temporarly. How can i secure this not happening again? Why did they think, i've got a proxy??

I got now an explicit answer to my error: I looked at "blitzed.org" and found out, that they think, i got an proxy. But why??? I got NONE!! They are in the opinion i got an "open proxy" what's generally dangerous, so they blocked me...... But how can i secure an inexisting proxy :shock:

@tyme: Perhaps that's my trap. It is a server like that, but defintely NO SPAM was send from there, only private messages. The only thing could be the Mailling-List of my university. Perhaps sending them a mail put mme on SPAM???

I was at "SPAMHAUS" and am not on their list. I tried to contact GMX, but they aren't in the mood to help. I am afraid of mail, beeing send by my and gets filtered on the Mail-host, not by the person receiving it. When it'S not SPAMHAUS/ROKSO, where could it be else??

I set up my little DSL-Router-Firewall-Lamp as email-server with postfix. The "rustedtech.net" adress is transfered to "rustedtech.homelinux.net" via "MX"-entry. And "rustedtech.homelinux.net" is dynamically binded to the daily changed IP of the server. All is working well, i can send and receive mails from type "name@rustedtech.net" via postfix. But since some days, GMX and some others put my mails in SPAM-directories because i am strangely on a global SPAM-List :shock: How do i change this? Are some settings in postfix wrong? I read sthg. about "Relayed Mailserver" that are often used for SPAM. Am i?

Difficulty is, thatz this machine is only accessed via ssh, no monitor there. So i can't connect if it crashes and can't watch it via top or sthg. similar. I have to do this vias logs, that's the only way to see sthg... :(

This error occurs, if the "gerneration" process fo a new group/user in Userdrake get's broke. Then theese two files keep broke, so you'll have to delete them. They are under /etc. After that, all will work well again. --> Deleting users: If you delete an user, be sure to delete the same group as well, this is not automatic. Missing this leads in unused groups and inkonsistent UID/GUID pairs, what is not "dangerous" but unpretty

What shall i do? No hint in the logs that something happened. After a period of time, this server doesn't react any more. It is a LAMP with firewall and routing. Nor the firewall-log, either syslog/messages show an error.

You can do it by making a bootfloppy with the /images/network.img (dd if=/images/network.img of=/dev/fd0). After that, you can either select a worldwide Mirror in the install menu or you can take a local mirror. Supported ist FTP, NFS and HTTP. Ask further if there's a problem..

As far as i can see by now, the impact is immencse! This decision is discussed on the latenights at 8:00pm on the FIRST channel in germany, so it's an important news. The decision is Linux and OpenOffice, the final begin will be 2004. Fascinating, that M$ comes with "unfair competition" as argument and a 7.000.000 cheaper offer, after they heard this UNFAIR COMPETITION lololololololololol..............from M$ against the munich gouvernement........
