ok the make command and the make install command worked great,now what should i do?

ok the new kernel and kernel source is installed

nope they both failed,now i find that extremely odd edit:ok i just did the 2nd one without the i586.rpm and its now downloading

ok i removed them and then reinstalled them

i guess it didnt install is there supposed to be a .rpm at the end of this? urpmi kernel-source-2.6-2.6.8.1-12mdk

where do i get the kernel source? cause when i do urpmi kernel-source it asks for cd3 and im back to where i installed what i wasnt supposed to on i think page 2 or 3 of this post but this time its just the source

ok is there anything else i need to do before i can run the make command for the ndiswrapper? and also thanks very much for your help this is best linux help i have gotten sense i started using linux

i did the easy-urpmi thing and i want to know if i was supposed to do those things at the end one at a time or all at once or does it matter?

sorry im having some small keyboard problems,i forgot to put that i have a burned copy of mandrake 10.1 official and it came with some other cds 2 with updates and i dont know what the other 6 are for,all i know is that they say contrib on them,also i did that command and it shows installation cd 1,installation 2 and installation cd 3

i saw something that said contrib,now i got about 6 cds with the word contrib on them and i got 2 cds with updates i dont know what the updates are and i dont know what those contribs are for so yeah

ok i did choose yes but i removed it,now my kernel version is 2.6.8.1 and where do i find easy-urpmi?

edit:i got the install part figured out for the most part but when i do the make command it gives me a error about the kernel or something i will have to take a screenshot

the driver is a 48mb exe and its for the dell wireless wlan 1370 mini-pci card which in windows is the broadcom,im downloading it on linux now hopfully this will help :) also i did the ifconfig and the only things that show up are eth0 and lo

got it,its a broadcom 802.11g wireless network adapter

under the hardware thing in mandrake theres a thing in unknown/others called I/O Controller Hub Modem
