well they way my school has their wireless network setup is that once you connect and open your browser your taken to a login page and you have to login using your student id and password

how do i get a usb flash drive to work on mandrake?

i cant get xmms on linux cause im at school and cant connect to the network sense im not allowed to use the ethernet cables on my laptop and i cant use my wireless card on linux sense i cant figure out how connect to my schools wireless network with my wireless card

well i know kaffeine need kde cause i tryed to install it and it said it was looking for some sort of kde config file

the only problem is that its for KDE and im using gnome

the default cd player that comes with gnome,im not sure of the name of it

EDIT:well i just checked it and everything is fine,still cant figure out why audio cds will not play audio

no its not muted,i seem to remember being able to bring up a volume control through a command that i enter in the console but i could be wrong

theres no audio,i can play mp3's but not audio cds,i check volume control and the slider for the cd player is all the way up

there was a update or something for totem in install packages and i installed it and now it works perfectly,no lag nothing,next is to see if i can get audio cds working.

im still unable to connect through my wireless network card but i am able to connect through a ethernet cable on my network which is how im connected now and i just tryed to do a update and its not letting me do a update i will take a screenshot of the error im getting and post it
Edit:i take it back it has started working,odd :huh:

yeah totem is efault but when i try to play a dvd with totem it crashes
ok kaffeine does not work on gnome
ok i take it back i got back to the future part 3 playing but it lags my computer like really bad,is there a way to fix this? if not i will install kde and switch to it if i have too

yeah i saw those and am still working on them,now i just need to get this thing to play dvds and music cds and i'll be set :D

ok the driver installed correctly i guess all i need to do is try to connect to a wireless network just need to figure out how to do that and it shows it has wlan0(null) what does that mean?

ok i got the files extracted and now im trying to use the command you gave me to install the driver and it says there is no command ndiswrapper

its not there,i went to see if i could install it and it said something like "bad or missing signature"
