  2. hmm... well i was able to find a cedega file that was called cedega-versionNumber-cvs.i586.rpm on a seemingly reputable website, maybe i should get that off my computer though. The installation seemed to go ok but the cedega command doesn't seem to work so umm.. how might i go about an uninstall?
  3. hmm.. k, i downloaded a cedega rpm and installed it just by double clicking it in the file manager, seemed like everything whent alright in the installation process. so from what i've read you use it the same way as wine, just in the shell type "wine filename.exe". this "cedega filename.exe" doesn't seem to work though. so umm... help?:D
  4. my problem isn't running it but actually getting it installed, the installation wizard for the game trys to install it in a directory on the "C:" drive which of course doesn't exist
  5. GeForce FX 5700LE, soon to be GeForce 6600GT :D
  6. hey guys, i'm new to linux but already mandriva has won me over. If i could just get guild wars to run on linux i would never touch windows again. Unfortunately i'm also very new to wine and can't figure out how to install guild wars through it, any help you can offer would be much appreciated
  7. ya, i'd actually thought of that but figured since windows didn't need it linux probably wouldn't either. I'm too lazy to fix it though. thanks for all your help!!
  8. hmm, so it looks like i just can't play directly from the cd player, if i rip the tracks first they play find and thats good 'nuff for me! thanks for all the help!
  9. hmmm.. slocate rpmnew didn't list anything, found out kaffiene's sound is working too, seems to just be my cd's...
  10. hmm.. k, partially solved, the test speakers works now, 'tis glorious to hear them, but i still am not getting sound out of kscd
  11. Hi, I'm new to linux and these boards and this seemed to be the best place to post this so here goes! I've just recently started running mandrake (mandriva) 10.1 and seem to be having trouble getting any kind of sound out of both my onboard sound and my creative labs audigy 2 ZS sound card. I've set every volume in KMix to max and have looked for aumix but seem to be unable to find it, any help would be most appreciated! [moved from Software by spinynorman - welcome aboard :)]
