first of all, like i said, i've searched everywhere and found nothing. anyway, my problem is i compiled my own kernel from the 2.4.19mdk source. I named it other than the default name so if something went wrong, i could still revert to the old kernel. after compiling and doing all the standard stuff, at the lilo prompt, as soon as i select my custom kernel, is says 'Loading customEBDA too big.' and locks. I can still boot into the default mdk kernel (2.4.19-16) just fine. any ideas what the problem is? i've checked the spelling in lilo.conf, and everything there is fine.
system:
mandrake 9.0 (upped to xfree 4.2.99 and kde 3.1 from cooker)
2.4.19-16mdk (same sources for my compile)
lilo version 22.3.2
celeron 458, aopen mx3l mobo
192mb
any help is greatly appreciated :)
