  1. I am using a linksys 10/100 usb network adapter using the pegasus driver and it does the same thing. Every time I restart the computer, I have to go to the console and 'service network restart' to bring the network up. Its been like that since 9.X's for me. I don't really care just because I go at least a month at a time before restarting, I just wanted to point out that the same thing happens to me. BTW, i'm running Mandrake 10.1 official w/ all updates and kernel 2.6.8.1-12. It's a celeron 500 w/ ~380mb RAM. Aopen MX3L motherboard. I have no idea what the model is for the linksys adapter, it was given to me by Rogers, my cable ISP. If anyone has any questions, i'll monitor this thread for a few days.
  2. update to point release 1.32b -- there was a problem with mouse look that they solved in it. hey, it worked for me :)
  3. first of all, like i said, i've searched everywhere and found nothing. anyway, my problem is i compiled my own kernel from the 2.4.19mdk source. I named it other than the default name so if something went wrong, i could still revert to the old kernel. after compiling and doing all the standard stuff, at the lilo prompt, as soon as i select my custom kernel, is says 'Loading customEBDA too big.' and locks. I can still boot into the default mdk kernel (2.4.19-16) just fine. any ideas what the problem is? i've checked the spelling in lilo.conf, and everything there is fine. system: mandrake 9.0 (upped to xfree 4.2.99 and kde 3.1 from cooker) 2.4.19-16mdk (same sources for my compile) lilo version 22.3.2 celeron 458, aopen mx3l mobo 192mb any help is greatly appreciated :)
