Michel
I'll try to translate the last part: http://www.automatiseringgids.nl/news/defa...asp?nwsId=24917 The Down Jones says/thinks that high-ranked people of Alcatel, Ericson, Nokia, Philips and Siemens sent a lletter on November 7th in which they complain about the European plans. They say that the proposition will probably take a way effective patent-protection for most of their R&D-investments. They ttreath to take away their investments in R&D in Europe, which consist of 15 billion(?) euros a year. The letter was addressed to the European Union and Rocci Buttiglione, minister of Economic affaires of Italy (Italy is the current 'chairman" of Europe). I was asking myself..do they have any patent-protection in Europe today..if uit comes to software and being possible to use hardware..I still think that patents are not good. I hope some more specific info is available about this letter. Edited December 2, 2003 by Michel
