Hi people,

I have just updated the kernel of mandrake 9.2.

I installed the kernel-2.4.22.21mdk-1-1mdk.i586.rpm from a mandrake ftp mirror using urpmi.

Everything is ok and working except that now when i select to load linux at the lilo boot screen i no longer get the nice looking blue loading bar screen ( it used to say press esc for verbose mode).

How do i get the loading screen back? Or should i just revert to the original (but by all accouns bugged) kernel 2.4.22.10.

Thanks Guys

The resolution must be set to 788. Look for a line in your /etc/lilo.conf that says

vga=normal

and change it to

vga=788

That should fix it.
