simon_c
Hello! I need to use a program called CLIPS for my uni work but I would rather use a graphical / X version of it... In Mandrake 9.1 I go to RpmDrake and type in "clips" and get 2 install packages; clips and xclips. Both install fine, but when I run "xclips" in the terminal (even as root) I get "segmentation fault". Does anyone else have this problem or is it just me? What can I do? (don't make me reboot into windows to do work *shudders at thought*) Thanks, Si
Cannonfodder
I would uninstall the rpm's and then go to the xclips web site (type xclips linux into google). Then make sure you read what is required, make sure youi have it. Then you can install the tar from the web site.. If this doesn't work you will at least have more information on what is missing rather than a seg fault message only. Also, look for a package called checkinstall. You can use it to convert your tar install into an rpm install. This makes it easy to uninstall it at a later date..
