Guest karelj
I downloaded and burnt all the latest RPMS that are available for 7.3 to CD-r and I am in the process of upgrading my installed packages. In the Kpackage tool, after you check th epackages you need and click on Install, the menu has selections for Upgrade, Replace Files, Replace packages. If I just want to upgrade my packages to th elastest version, do I need to select Replace Files and Replace Packages along with selecting Upgrade?? Thanks... jlc
First, why an old RH? Second, do you have broadband or a decent connection to the net?
Guest karelj
I have two laptops.. one with RH and the other with Mandrake 9.2 I am still using RH 7.3 because the laptop does not have enough ram to run RH9 quickly enough in graphical mode and I am also satisfied with 7.3 for my learning needs at this time. The other laptop is being used to try out other distros and I am still evaluating mandrake 9.2 Yes, I do have broadband, a dsl connection, but I figured that downloading the final update rpms by ftp and burning to disc was the best way to have them on hand.
