Guest TDonaghe
I just installed Mandrake 9... I am running KDE 3 by default. The font that is used is BUTT UGLY - very blocky... horrible, and almost unreadable. How do I make this pretty? Or at least decent looking? All of the fonts I can choose from look just about as bad. Thanks! :)

DragonMage
So I take it you solved your problem right? Do share what you did other than setting the right color depth. It cannot be just that to change blocky fonts in kde to good ones.
Guest TDonaghe
My color depth was set to 16 million colors... apparently my old laptop can't handle this. When I set the color depth to 65k colors, the fonts changed to normal pretty fonts. Problem solved.
