Guest ramazz
I seem to be having nothing but problems with installing the amd64 version of mandrake on my k8v athlon64 system. Previously I had issues with the installer not finding my hard drive on the promise ide controller, after moving it to my via ide controller I had radeon driver issues in the gui install (would crash when loading the gui in the beginning of the install when loading module radeon) and text mode install wouldn't list packages. This was all with bios 1002 and 1003.0012 I have since upgraded the bios to full 1003, now I get kernel panicks when its loading the ide drivers and finding all my drives and looking for the mandrake cd. Depending on which of my dvd, cdrw or dvdrw drives I use (all LG by the way and never had a problem before) the error screen looks different. I have since moved my hdd back to my promise controller in ide mode. I'd really like to test this but its really frustrating.
