rquin66
Hi, I'm now at my work. Our network is a Windows one, with Windows NT for the server and the PCs being W98SE. I've installed MDK 9.2 in a new partition in my PC, but I can't connevt to the internet. My NIC's IP is properly (I think) identified by DHCP protocol, but I can't connect The details of my network in MCC are: IP address: 192.168.70.85 Net submask: 255.255.255.0 The LAN and connexion assistants ask for details of (in Spanish) Pasarela Proxy http Proxy ftp However in Windows there is a direct connexion: in Control panel, you do not have to do anything: it directly connects to the Internet. Another thing I'd like is to use our network's resources: printers, access to files in the server, etc. I suppose I should use Samba, but do not know whether there is an easy way to do it: Can I use Samba on my machine or has it got to be installed in the Windows server? Any help would be very much appreciated, as my computer could be the "shop window" to begin a shift to Linux in my firm. TIA Rafa
