leebrown
I'm working with Gnome on Mandrake 9.2rc2. I've had the same problem with previous versions. Whether I try to start it from the Menu or from the command line, it opens the Desktop Preferences directory. Whenever I try to start the Gnome Control Center from the command line, I get the following error message: --------------------------------------------- (gnome-control-center:3195): GnomeUI-WARNING **: While connecting to session manager: Authentication Rejected, reason : None of the authentication protocols specified are supported and host-based authentication failed. (nautilus:3195): GnomeUI-WARNING **: While connecting to session manager: Authentication Rejected, reason : None of the authentication protocols specified are supported and host-based authentication failed. --------------------------------------------- Any suggestions? Thanks, Lee
