Guest jdm
Has anyone been successful doing it? So far I cannot install any RH8 RPMs, each and every one of them fail and I can't seem to find a MDK RPM for Mozilla 1.2b or any version for that matter. This is what I did to try to get it to compile. During ./configure it gives an error about not being able to find xft.pc so I copy pangoxft.pc to xft.pc in the pckconfig directory and everything goes fine after that. During compilation it gives this error: I followed all of the directrons on http://phoenix.ragweed.net/build .h -Wp,-MD,.deps/nsGfxFactoryGTK.pp nsGfxFactoryGTK.cpp In file included from nsGfxFactoryGTK.cpp:65: nsFontMetricsXft.h:248: syntax error before `*' token gmake[5]: *** [nsGfxFactoryGTK.o] Error 1 gmake[5]: Leaving directory `/home/jdm/backup/linux/downloads/mozilla/gfx/src/gtk' gmake[4]: *** [libs] Error 2 gmake[4]: Leaving directory `/home/jdm/backup/linux/downloads/mozilla/gfx/src' gmake[3]: *** [libs] Error 2 gmake[3]: Leaving directory `/home/jdm/backup/linux/downloads/mozilla/gfx' gmake[2]: *** [tier_9] Error 2 gmake[2]: Leaving directory `/home/jdm/backup/linux/downloads/mozilla' gmake[1]: *** [default] Error 2 gmake[1]: Leaving directory `/home/jdm/backup/linux/downloads/mozilla' gmake: *** [build] Error 2 Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix the problem? I'm dying to run Mozilla/Phoenix with XFT support.
Guest jdm
I forgot to mention that it compiles just fine when I don't attempt to compile it with XFT support.
Counterspy
If you are looking for Mozilla with XFT support, have a look at Textar's RPM's accessible from http://www.pclinuxonline.com . It may not be the version you are looking for so take a look and decide for yourself. He also has a number of other programs there which may interest you including apt-get for Mandrake. Guest jdm
I already installed those and it doesn't work. All of the packages it requires are already installed. Even installing the tex versions of the rpms it asks for still doesn't work. The mozilla xft version won't start, I don't recall the error message it gave.
