DigiKam 0.10.0-beta3 won't display images [solved]

I recently upgraded to Mandriva 2009.0 and added all updates. Everything seems to be working well except that DigiKam (version 0.10.0-beta3 running under KDE 4.1.2) opens and shows sub-folders within the ~/Pictures/ directory it should, but I can't seem to display any of the images or image file names. Is anyone else having this problem?

Thanks. It wasn't exactly the same problem as mentioned in the other post. I had to click on the Albums button, the one with Albums written vertically in upper left of screen and just above the Calendar button. After that I was able to see the thumbnail images and click on View in the normal way.
