boatman9
I upgraded from 2008.0 to 2009.0 using the procedure given here. All went well at first, but when I rebooted into the new 2009.0 installation, kima was gone from the Panel. I tried the Add Aplet to Panel' function but Kima does not appear there. Rpmdrake does however show that kima is installed. I am still using KDE 3.5.10. Does the new Kima require KDE 4?
medo3891
I am not sure what the problem is but kima is a kicker (panel) applet and doesn't work at all with kde4.
boatman9
Kicker applets don't work with KDE 4? I see Kima is in the 2009.0 repository. Is there something else I can use to monitor CPU speed?
medo3891
Yes it's in the repos because kde3 is still in the repos. You can try gkrellm , it's not a panel applet though. Just give it a shot.
