Chris H
Mandriva 2009, KDE4, Gnome, XFCE Not sure if this is a bug or an effect of having everything including the kitchen sink loaded! Anyways, select 'quit' from the menu. Gives me a panel with 6 options. Select 'Shut down' Instead of shutting down it kicks me to the GDM login screen (which is what I have set to use instead of KDM/XDM) then I have to shut down from there. Worth posting at bugzilla? scarecrow
The regular XFCE 4.4.X logout screen has just THREE options: logout, shutdown, restart. In 4.6.X (still beta) there is also "suspend" and "hibernate" included, but these aren't a part of the official code. The aforementioned logout screen is heavily patched against Gnome libs, and if t doesn't work it's simply a matter of Gnome, or the way it's implemented in Mandriva- not XFCE's. For me, it used to work well with 4.4.2 and 4.4.3, but I was using slim as login manager- not GDM. Currently using 4.6 beta, and still all options work as they should.
