emilioestevezz Posted August 6, 2003 Report Share Posted August 6, 2003 Hi, i got my shorewall from shorewall.net and configure it and now its up and running but i still have a problem, wich is that wich most sites when i download some file it starts good lets say 50 to 60k but starts falling down to 30 or even 20k. tyme Posted August 6, 2003 Report Share Posted August 6, 2003 probably nothing more than normal internet traffic. it starts out fast, then as other information comes across those pipes it slows down. i doubt there is anything you can do about it. Michel Posted August 7, 2003 Report Share Posted August 7, 2003 I ahve also dsl....but if the server I download from is good enough I can download almost at maximum speed....I have a 300 kb-connection...and if I download Mandrake from ftp.belnet.be (which is really fast..., it's a good download site if you live close to Belgium :))...I get my maximum speed or almost anyhow..try to download something from there and see how it goes....
