Guest anon Posted July 26, 2003 Report Share Posted July 26, 2003 Known troubles- In RpmDrake, selection of package with the mouse doesn't work, one must use the keyboard. - Due to unfinished new signature handling feature, RpmDrake complains about bad signature (Urpmi suffers from the same pain). - New windows are not correctly centered. - Usermode, the application used to get root priviledges, has a bug that prevents running config tools as a standard user. One must first log as root, then run the tool. This problem is fixed in the Mandrake Linux Cooker version, with package 'usermode-3.68-2mdk'. How to report bugs Bugs must be submitted to bugzilla and technical discussions (for developers) are hosted on the Cooker mailing list. We'd appreciate feedback from the largest number of Beta testers, so there are two ways to help make sure Mandrake Linux 9.2 is your favourite release: 1) If you enjoy getting "hands-on" and are quite good with Linux (with several years of experience), the best bet is for you to subscribe to the Cooker mailing list so you can directly communicate with the MandrakeSoft developers. Furthermore, the new Mandrake community website, WIKI, lets you follow the development status of the upcoming release. Finally you can talk with Mandrake geeks on #mdk-cooker on irc.freenode.net. 2) If you don't have time to get deeply involved but have a good level of Linux knowledge, the best bet is to create a BugZilla account for posting bug reports. To obtain a BugZilla account, just visithttp://qa.mandrakesoft.com.
