'Open Source Victoria today filed a complaint with the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission, asking it to investigate SCO's activities in light of 'unsubstantiated claims and extortive legal threats for money' against possibly hundreds of thousands of Australians.' I especially like the last bit: 'One feels that this whole fiasco is the IT industry equivalent of a Nigerian scam or internet extortion ploy.' Oh yeah.." Guest JaseP
Now if only IBM would step up to the plate. A recent IBM memo to their sales staff indicates that they should get informed about the FUD that SCO is spitting out, and show the clients what untruths there are. Of course, SCO interprets that as meaning that there must be merit to their claims (?!?!?!?!?). Just goes to show you what delusional thinking can do.
