Guest taddyman
Some change (or attempted change) has wrecked some part of the printing configuration on my MDK 9.1 setup. If I do Location-Print in Konqueror (say) and then press Properties or System Options buttons the resultant dialog does not appear for around 3-4 minutes. If I try and print the page a dialog box announces that it is "initialising" and that takes around the same amount of time. The printing is feeding CUPS on localhost. The problem is not limited to one user. I can login as another user and get the same problem. Can anyone suggest which of the kdeprint, or cups config files I have messed up, or otherwise suggest how I can fix the problem? Thanks
Guest taddyman
I have finally fixed the problem. Browsing was not enabled in the CUPS server configuration. I enabled browing and added in "suitable" browsing addresses. I based these on another MDK 9.1 setup.
