greeting all!

Lately I havent been able to run xmms (where it used to run just great)

I tried to run it in a shell to watch it choke, and I got

segmentation fault

when I run it as root it seems to work.

Also, when I tried

[root@localhost log]# grep -ir 'xmms' * | more

and so on....

I know this must be a permissions issue, but where do I begin to change this?

I keep trying whereis to locate the different pieces, and can't seem to find them.

Any hints?

Di you try deleting your .xmms directory? Since it works for root you probably have a config problem. This fixed it for me several times as it rewrites the directory with defaults.
