Kieth
With OpenOffice, I did a normal up grade. It now shuts down suddenly for many and various reasons - click of the mouse, opening certain pages, etc. I opened OpenOffice in a terminal, but when OO shut down, there were no messages. I also changed mouses, but no luck. I use KDE, but I also tried another desktop (ICE??), and there was the same effect. Any ideas how to resolve the problem? Thanks, Kieth Edited July 10, 2008 by Kieth
arctic
Could you please give an exact step by step approach for reproducing it? Maybe we are just affected as you, in which case it would be a bug. btw: Which version of Mandriva are you using? 2008.1? Was the upgrade done with official Mandriva rpms? And have you tried starting it with a clean config-file already, that is, removing the .ooo-2.0 file in your /home directory?
David Batson
See this thread on the other Mandriva forum... Openoffice.org-kde problem with 2.4.1.5-2.3 update package
Kieth
Thanks David, that seemed to have solved the problem. I removed openoffice.org-kde, and now it seems to be working fine. Kieth
