hans796
Hi guys.. I downloaded XFCE version and must say I was impressed by the look, feel and how fast it goes on my machine. I've lately used debian most of the time (good distro by the way) but have now decided to use this one as my multimedia player. My second computer is connected to my stereo and that one is connected to a rather old soundworks 4.0. I tried to get multimedia codecs and that stuff but couldn't find them in the repositories. I need the following: FLAC Vorbis-tools lame liblame0 faac win32codecs and maybe gstreamerplugins0.10 monkeys-audio (yes got that working in debian) Reason for these req is that i have lots of CD's and DVD's with flac and ape files I want to convert to mp3 due to HD space limitations. And no I don't want to use Amarok scripts.. Give me a hint or some tips to make this work and I will be a Mandriva user again.. Looking forward to your answers and tips.. Greetz from sweden.. Greg2
If you're using the gui package manager: Don't forget in the top-left of your package manager is a dropdown box, set it to 'All' (if you haven't already done so), so you can see 'all' of the packages.
