Konqueror Mime Types are Lost when update-menus runs

The subject says it all! I had a couple of mime types set up in konqueror (gmplayer, bittorrents, etc), and they are lost everytime the update-menu script is run. Is there a way to fix this? I hate having to redo everything when I run an update, install something, etc.

Thanks!

It could be worth setting up another user account to see if the problem persists but its a lot of hassle I know. I don't know of anyone with a similar problem to you, so I guess its somethign to do with your system set up rather than the rpms you installed. The only thihng I can suggest is to find a different source of rpms (eg cooker) and install those.
