manly
The subject says it all! I had a couple of mime types set up in konqueror (gmplayer, bittorrents, etc), and they are lost everytime the update-menu script is run. Is there a way to fix this? I hate having to redo everything when I run an update, install something, etc. Thanks! --Andrew
mtweidmann
Sounds very odd, I'd always thought they were stored in different files. Does this problem all the user accounts are your machine or just that particular one? Also what version of KDE are you running and where did you get it from? manly
I am using texstar's KDE rpms, version 3.1.2. I only have one user account. It's not much, but I'm not sure what else to look at. --Andrew
mtweidmann
It could be worth setting up another user account to see if the problem persists but its a lot of hassle I know. I don't know of anyone with a similar problem to you, so I guess its somethign to do with your system set up rather than the rpms you installed. The only thihng I can suggest is to find a different source of rpms (eg cooker) and install those.
