aru Posted June 26, 2003 Report Share Posted June 26, 2003 then better for you, create the new files .bashrc and .bash_profile from scratch. ;) You know that when a new user is created, the files contained in /etc/skel are copied to his/her home directory; and that "The system administrator is responsible for placing the default user files in the /etc/skel directory" (quoted from man useradd).
