manly
Hi, Since I've upgraded to the latest KDE rpm's from texstar, kicker seems to be crashing serveral times a day. I've tried changing configurations, removing applets, but it still seems to crash. Any tips on tracking this down? Is anyone else experiencing the same thing? Thanks! --Andrew
ezroller
how about this. when you first get to a linux terminal do this hit >alt< F2 in the run box type "xkill" your cursor will change to a little target. click that target on the kicker bar. your kicker bar will now disappear. do the alt.F2 thing again in the box type xterm, or your the name of your favorite terminal program. run kicker from there. make sure to leave that terminal up and open. now when kicker crashes, you should have some error messages. manly
Thanks for the tip! Since then, I've upgraded the rpm's multiple times, and it seems to be working properly. I'm still following the bug at this address: http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=58929 --Andrew
