mindwave
I flirted with Xandros for about a year and the ONE thing that I thought was amazing was at how well integrated their OS was abloe to treat NTFS drives. I was able to dual boot, OR just slap in an NTFS drive w/o re formatting and X4 read it right off. looking around I was able to find that X4 was using a proprietary Paragon NTFS driver. Sigh, thats what the $ was for. THEN in my new Linux + (or Format, or Pro) magazine, I get a new cd that says that IT has an open edition version of their NEW driver: I think this may be whats on the CD: http://www.ntfs-linux.com/home/personal/ I havent tried it YET, but then I'm running KDE4 and 2008.1, so I have to look and see if I have NTFS-3g installed. ALthough in the past NTFS-3g seems to have worked pretty well, the paragon driver worked amazingly well. anyway if anyone has any experience witth it I'd love to hear it. iphitus
dont know why you'd waste any money on it. ntfs-3g works beautifully, and if it doesnt, go file bugs with your distro.
