Guest Rodion
I would like to set up kdm and X so that I can log in on vt7 and vt8. I've already modified /etc/X11/xdm/Xservers to look like this: :0 local /bin/nice -n -10 /usr/X11R6/bin/X -deferglyphs 16 vt7 :0 :1 local /bin/nice -n -10 /usr/X11R6/bin/X -deferglyphs 16 vt8 :1 And it works...except for one hitch: whenever I log in, KDE, not kdm, automatically starts on vt7, and nothing happens on vt8, until I log out of KDE. Then kdm starts on both vt7 and vt8, exactly like I want it to. So how do I stop KDE from automatically starting when I first boot the computer? Thanks. chalex20
The autologin feature is apparently turned on somehow. Look in /etc/sysconfig/autologin, and also in KDM options via KDE control center - is autologin turned on? If so, just switch it off.
