Guest suntzu
What are the different options for that are default in your lilo menu. i.e. what is the difference between linux and linux-enterprise, and what is "nonfb"? Also how do you change the timeout for your dhcp so you dont have to stare at the screen when you are on the road.
ramfree17
from what i understand, the linux kernel is limited only to around 790+MB of RAM while the enterprise is not. i think aru has posted the reason somewhere (search for memory and address by aru). fb mean framebuffer. its a display mechanism (i know somebody will correct my term anytime now) that is capable of showing 2D graphics. if your system cant configure your XWindows server properly, fb provides you with an option. ciao! Cannonfodder
Regarding the last question, try going into the Mandrake Control Center and click on Networks. Then configure your internet service.. maybe an option in there..
