ajw055570
Then I burnt my toast to boot :( The poor toast. Got another quick question, does Mandriva block overclocking? i ask because after starting this kima up and running mprime my processor only will go up to the stock speed of 1.6GHz but right now i have it overclocked in bios to just under 2.5GHz. And if i cant OC through bios is there a program for Mandriva like clockgen for windows that will let me OC through software?
Greg2
Mandriva doesn't block OC. If you have set this up in the BIOS to OC, it should be working. You can check this by opening a terminal, then do cat /proc/cpuinfo |grep -i mhz What does the output show you?
ajw055570
i typed in the code and while running the cpu at full speed (has speed stepping) with mprime the output says " cpu MHz : 1600.000 so it isnt OCing like it's set up to in bios. it isnt even going past default
ajw055570
a quick note. I loaded up a copy of XP on the same mobo and i am getting clean overclocks. Any advice/ideas as to where my problem is? Edit: Not planning to keep the XP on it, just testing to see where the problem is :D Edited March 30, 2008 by ajw055570
