Cannonfodder
This is a better link.. http://www.opera.com/download/?ver=7.11%20beta%202 Hi all, Opera 7.11 Beta 2 for Linux Intel and Linux PPC is now available for download. Download at: http://www.opera.com/download/index.dml?pl...=linux&ver=7.11 Please discuss this release in the opera.linux newsgroup or opera-linux mail list before submitting bugs to our BTS (Bug Tracking System). When you start a thread on opera.linux newsgroup or opera-linux mail list please do not reply to this message. Instead: Write a subject line that tells what you want to talk about. That way it is much simpler to keep track of everything. Changelog since 7.11 TP5 (general changelog available on opera.com as well) - Menubar state fix. The visibility was not saved in some cases on exit. - Qt version string fix "in about opera" page - Made ellipsis (...) position configurable. Default is at end of string. It can be configured in status field, page buttons and personal bar buttons. - Remove selected text in edit fields before pasting data with the center mouse button - Fixed %r and %w flag parsing for mail-urls - Added some modifications to the searchdrop control to improve setting up and saving the selected search engine. - Added "Delete to end of line" action and added support for this action in single and multiline edit fields. - Added support for web-search dialog box (Alt+Space dialog box in UNIX keyboard mode) - Added support for UNIX shortcuts. These are available when using a separate keyboard.ini file (named unix_keyboard.ini) available from a preference box selector. - Saving mouse and keyboard settings would reset keyboard selection before it was saved - Made Ctrl+l (show link popup menu) working - DnD fix. Allow drop in the workspace of Opera - Alt+Backspace added again (in UNIX keyboard mode) - "Special effects" toolbar setting is now by default turned off - Fixed a dialog timing problem related to nicknames and offline mode. - Added "Run in terminal" option for external programs in preference dialog box. - Added support for external news client again in preferences dialog box. - Added support for "validate java path" in preferences dialog box - Added support for setting favicon support in preferences dialog box - Fixed a crash problem with the Javascript console dialog box - Added "Redo" to edit menus - Added plug-in path support in preferences dialog box - Added "Paste mouse selection" action. Activate with Ctrl+Alt+R or Alt+Backsape in edit fields. Unix keyboard mode must be active - Speed up saving preference dialog box settings. - Removed library dependency against Qt Platinum style. - Fixed a right click menu problem in multiline edit fields. Some menu entries were not enabled when they should have been. - Fixed a copy problem in multiline edit fields. A 'r' character was included at the end of each line. That should not happen in UNIX versions. - XIM: Various improvements (Position, multiple characters). - Java: Try harder to set the size of the Java window. - Improved detection of default generic CSS fonts - Support for system (Qt) color in skins - Preference for overriding DPI in opera6.ini: Section: [user Prefs] Key: "Force DPI" Value: number of dots per inch, or 0, which means "system default". - Fixed some zooming bugs - Fixed display corruption that occurred sometimes (especially in bookmark panel) - Fixed paint problems with tooltips - Fixed an Xft 2 library loader problem that occurred on some systems Enjoy, -- Espen Sand espen@opera.com
