Tomi Häsä
I installed Mandriva Linux One 2008 as a second operating system to the internal hard drive of my Fujitsu Siemens Amilo L7310GW laptop (Intel Celeron M 370 1.5 GHz, 512 MB RAM, 60 GB hard drive, 15.4" TFT WXGA CrystalView, VIA PN800 + VT8235CE, VIA/S3G UniChrome Pro IGP, DVD Multi Format DL Burner, 10/100 Mbps Ethernet, Atheros AR5005G Wireless Network Adapter, 56 kbps phone modem, three USB 2.0 ports, PCMCIA CardBus expansion, Multimedia Card reader). Unfortunately Mandriva doesn't seem to recognize any USB devices I have tried to plug in to any of the three USB ports with or without a USB Hub. What solutions could I try? Guest Yaga
I use the same Distro in my Dell Latitude laptop- never had issues with USBs. However, I went to the BIOS and disabled "Plug and Play" as I heard that is a Bill Gates' thing that can make your Linux misbehave. I use also KDE's system setup GUI to adjust hardware, and there is a USB setup/test area...
