Guest Tux
I have ugraded from 2007 to 08 and now, after setting up my wireless (using ndiswrapper as required) I get connected just fine. But, when I reboot, it wil not connect again. I have to manually set this back up each time. coverup
Make sure all required kernel modules are loaded on start. I don't use ndiswrapper, but from what I remember, you have to add some stuff to /etc/modprobe.conf (or something). Please read the tutorial, you can find one on this forum. Since my post, I did try setting up the connection without using the wrapper and it did connect, but upon reboot it wont connect unless I set everything up again. You think maybe something in modprob can be removed now (if I don't need the wrapper)?

Guest dArt
I have exactly same problem. 3 interfaces ETH0 EETH1 WLAN0. Wireless on ETH0. Every reboot i need to choose Configure network/Wireless./Ndiswrapper/.... interface actualy rememers where and what file it need for indiswrapper name of network and some other settings. I tried few solution i found here: adding ndiswrapper to modprobe.conf, disable bcmxx (it seems i am using since then my connection do not work at all). Nothing seems to work :(. ianw1974
Adding ndiswrapper would normally go in /etc/modprobe.preload, not modprobe.conf. That did it for me when I had problems with it at bootup.
Guest dArt
I made mistake describing my actions. That was exactly what i did. my modprobe.preload looks like this. So i believe problem not here. # /etc/modprobe.preload: kernel modules to load at boot time. # # This file should contain the names of kernel modules that are # to be loaded at boot time, one per line. Comments begin with # a `#', and everything on the line after them are ignored. # this file is for module-init-tools (kernel 2.5 and above) ONLY # for old kernel use /etc/modules ndiswrapper nvram ati_agp amd64_agp tifm_7xx1 sdhci evdev
