Sunwatcher
I just installed 2008 Free to my laptop. Most everything is working (as far as I know), except that I can't seem to add any newly installed apps to my Gnome menu. I go to System>Preferences>Main Menu to try to modify things. The cursor chugs away like a window is about to appear, but then it stops chugging and nothing happens. I know that I can manually start apps from usr>bins, but I'd like to have them in my menu. Any ideas?
edwardp
When all else fails, you can reinstall Mandriva. That's what I do if something inadvertently breaks and I can't fix it. I just tried that selection on Desktop 2 (using 2008 One) and the Main Menu window came up after 10 seconds.. This would lead me to believe that something occurred during your installation, causing it not to load.
