Updating modprobe.conf during auto_inst install

Hello

When installing machines using auto_inst all my changes to modprobe.conf get lost during the first reboot (or shortly after installation has finished).

I can see that the changes gets applied by Alt-F2 and cat /mnt/etc/modprobe.conf at the very end of the installation (after DVD is taken out).

However, the changes gets lost between there and first boot. Applying the changes and rebooting works fine.

Since this is related to network (bonding) it doesn't help much to add them through rc.local, although I guess it is possible to manually load the driver etc.

Is there a proper way of dealing with this?

Johnny
