Johnny Ljunggren
Hello I'm trying to set up auto install from a local ftp server, but the process is very slow. In addition I get prompted for the ip details as well even though it is available on the append line in isolinux.cfg. If I log into the server and download files the speed is as high as expected (~10 MiB/s). From isolinux.cfg: label test kernel alt1/vmlinuz append initrd=alt1/all.rdz kickstart=boot/test.cfg vga=788 automatic=method:ftp, server:192.168.1.31, network:static, ip:192.168.1.22, netmask:255.255.0.0, directory:/export/install/mandriva-2006, user:<password>, pass:<password> The append line is all on one line... Guest swanny
I would try another server, maybe a nearby university. Sometimes local simply is not the best speed solution because you are on a different ISP and the through-put is poor. It is worth trying several servers until you find the performance that works. The issue is more about how internet traffic flows than anything else. swds

tyme
Could you please expand on "very slow"? Exactly what is slow? It seems the download speed is fine, so I'm not really sure what's slow...
