Vanishing Libraries

I don't remember removing any libraries and when I got to urpmi it says it's installed. Mostly qt and gtk, I have them installed, I've used them! Can someone help?

Sorry, but your post doesn't make any sense :). What exactly does urpmi say? What's the problem?

Side note: I haven't figured out why it's showing bash-3.1# instead of root/jerome dir #/$

 

Both of these things worked last week and I haven't installed anything. Also the unable to access hdlist file of "update_source", medium ignored just started today.

kencfs2 just looks like the app sucks. It's assuming lsmod and sudo are available, which on a regular MDV setup, they're not. Did it ever work before?

Both pieces of software worked before. I have things in the encrypted file container that kencfs2 created :(

All problems are now resolved with an update to 2007.1 don't know why, don't know how. It seems really odd. Even the bash thing is fixed. Should I file a bug report?

Bug report...well, it'd be hard to fix without a lot more information, so you'd likely be wasting your time.

 

kencfs2, ooh, that sounds bad. Do you know how it actually works (i.e. what tool it uses to encrypt the filesystem)?

kencfs is a frontend to encfs which is a cryptographic filesystem operating in userspace (via FUSE).

That's all I know... never used it, never will I try it- I like my system clean of such stuff.
