Guest johnc
I successfully downloaded and burned a cd from iso file mandriva-linux-2007-spring-one-KDE-cdrom-i586.iso. Problem is my system does not recognize it as a bootable disk. I confirmed the download via md5. I tried re-burning the cd at slower speed settings with no luck. I am able to browse the cd without trouble: Appears to have MDVCDROOT as a label Contains two pdf readme files Contains three folders (boot, isolinux, and loopbacks) I read through the readme and confirmed my bios boot settings. I’m probably missing something simple, any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance

Demon
Alright, to avoid any further questions about the cd, try to boot it in some other computer. If it works, then it must something in your hardware, the cd rom most likely. If that's the, you could try to find help on http://club.cdfreaks.com/
Guest johnc
I built a Mepis cd with the same utility and it worked fine. I went back and tried the mandriva cd and after after a couple of attempts I was able to get it to boot up (although it complained about not being able to load cups printer but thats a problem for another day). Thanks for the help
