Jza
I want to know how can I disable some of the backups. I don't want to backup my system folder at /etc/ I also have questions regarding the use of .backupignore (where can I find this file) Finally I have crontab but I don't get all the options on the 'when' option within drakbackup. Hope you guys can answer these questions.
AussieJohn
Open MCC. Go to System then to Configure backups of the system and of the users' data and work through it there.. Cheers. John.
Jza
Hi John, Unfortunately the UI is not very sophisticated. For example I can't edit the .backupitgnore to let say to backup my home 'except' my Pictures/Music/Videos. In other words if I just wanto backup my 'dot files' I can't do it. Also on cron I can't edit it since my interface don't light up (it shows as unaccesible even after installing crontab and anacron. I could edit crontab myself but then again, I am not sure what command (and parameters) I need to execute the backup. That is why I am asking if one can give me the tour under the hood of drakbackup.
