Mandriva One Spring 2007 graphical problem in KDE

I installed Mandriva One Spring 2007 from the Live CD and have issues with my cursor. In Firefox, when using the mouse wheel to scroll the cursor duplicates itself. In the 'Start' menu, yellow blocks appear when I move the mouse.

 

 

I have used 2 different mice with the same result. Graphics drivers have picked up my card fine (ATi 9600pro). 3D desktop is turned off, hardware acceleration under X server is turned off as it caused the mouse cursor to be displayed with an offset to where it actually was.

 

What could be wrong with it?
