Guest ProzzaK
Hey guys, I have a problem with Mandriva ONE on my notebook Toshiba Satellite 3005-S307. I can't boot it. :-( I insert the CD, boot it, then loader comes up, it loads the kernel, and then, it hangs. If I try to boot it in text mode, it says a lot of stuff like Failed to insert /lib/something.ko" errno=19 Failed initialization of WD-7000 SCSI card Failed to insert /lib/something-other.ko" errno=19 And then hangs. What should I do to enjoy Mandriva ONE on my notebook? Thanks in advance! P.S. Oh, btw, there is nothing wrong with the CD itself, I installed Mandriva on my desktop with it. scarecrow
Remove anything slotted into your cardbus controller, and start the CD using the "nopcmcia" switch. By the way, reporting "Failed to insert /lib/something.ko" errno=19" you provoke the answer "something is going wrong". Try giving an exact problem description. Guest ProzzaK
Remove anything slotted into your cardbus controller, and start the CD using the "nopcmcia" switch. I'm asking just in case, am I doing this right: I boot up the CD, then press F3, type in "nopcmcia", and then press enter? If I did everything right, the, this didn't help :-( Still hangs... By the way, reporting "Failed to insert /lib/something.ko" errno=19" you provoke the answer "something is going wrong". Try giving an exact problem description. Sorry, my bad! There's a lot of writings with this insmod: error inserting '<...>.ko' errno=19, I copied some lines from the last screen, hope it will help to identify the problem? insmod: error inserting 'lib/ips.ko' errno=19 NCR53c406a: no availible ports found insmod: error inserting 'lib/NCR53c406a.ko' errno=19 scsi: <fdomain> Detection failed (no card) insmod: error inserting 'lib/fdomain.ko' errno=19 QLogic Fibre Channel HBA Driver qlogicfas: no cards were found, please specify I/O address and IRQ using iobase= and irq= optioninsmod: error inserting 'lib/qlogicfas.ko' errno=19 Failed initialization of WD-7000 SCSI card insmod: error inserting 'lib/wd7000.ko' errno=19 sym53c416.c: Version 1.0.0-ac insmod: error inserting 'lib/sym53c416.ko' errno=19 insmod: error inserting 'lib/t128.ko' errno=19 insmod: error inserting 'lib/u14-34fcb.ko' errno=19 _ and then the cursor just blinks, and nothing happens...
